The West Maple Neighborhood Task Force hosted a public workshop on March 29th at the Pennsauken Library. We had a great turnout! A big ‘thank you’ to all who attended and participated. Participants included residents, council persons, municipal staff (zoning, planning, economic development, and public works), as well as a few business representatives. We had representation from all 3 communities. The group discussed the challenges facing the neighborhood and opportunities for improvement.
The Task Force recently also held a site visit, walking the neighborhood to discuss issues raised during the public workshop and to brainstorm for ideas to improve the neighborhood. I’ve been told that the site visit was very helpful to task force members, by allowing them to get an up-close look at particular properties and to facilitate collaborative input from task force members. The Task Force is continuing to meet on the second Thursday of the month at Merchantville Borough Hall at 10am. Feel free to come out and join us!
