Trash disposal costs tackled

Merchantville is teaming up with Gloucester Township, Voorhees and Cherry Hill to shop for a new trash disposal contract which could trim $250,000 off of total costs by the summer. The multi-town partnership is among the largest in the state undertaking this cost savings. The consolidated services venture, reported last year with Gloucester Township and Cherry Hill, resulted in a combined savings of nearly $3 million for the towns. http://bit.ly/gLiY5h
