Siren sounds: Some towns save the wails

To some it’s a familiar comfort of small-town life — for others, a raucous, ear-splitting annoyance. Whatever the sentiment, the wail of fire sirens remains unmistakable in some of the small towns across South Jersey.But fire whistles may be on their way to being silenced in some of those towns.
