Senate falls one vote short of blocking NJN deal

New York’s largest public broadcasting station on Monday secured a deal to take over New Jersey’s state-owned television network after an attempt to block it failed by one vote in the state Senate.Starting Friday, WNET/Channel 13 in New York will take over broadcasting operations for New Jersey Network, bringing an end to the New Jersey station’s 40 years of broadcasting. http://bit.ly/mQW5j8
