J. Scott Strong has been announced as the new Chief School Administrator and Principal of Merchantville School. Mr. Strong is currently the principal of Lindenwold Middle School, and formerly a vice- principal at Audubon High School. His official start date is targeted to be mid-January
and until he starts, Mr. Bell will continue to act as interim CSA/Principal. Merchantville BOE president, Ed Bohn, praised the appointment stating, “We feel that Mr. Strong is the right person to lead Merchantville School into the future. He has excellent management and communication skills, a love of students, a high level of energy and enthusiasm, and he embraces technology to obtain educational objectives.”
Under Mr. Strong’s leadership Lindenwold Middle School recently completed all four phases of the four year INCLUDE grant, an NJDOE project designed to improve academic achievement in mathematics by effectively using educational technology.
