Merchantville Police Department

The police department is located at 1 West Maple Avenue in Borough Hall and headed by Chief Wayne Bauer.  The Chief Bauer may be contacted at policechief@merchantvillenj.gov or by phone at 856-662-0507. The department offers a non-emergency confidential “TIP LINE” at 856-662-2474 ext.166.

This line can be used at anytime for non- emergency tip information. You do not have to give your name or other information about yourself. This line is checked at least once every 8 hours by the officer in charge of the shift. Remember, this is NOT an emergency number. for emergencies DIAL 9-1-1 and if you are not sure if the problem is an emergency, dial 9-1-1 and let the police decide.
