Kids Zone sponsors Recycled Art

The Kids Recycled Artwork Show is on Saturday, September 15th. The Kids Zone for free for the kids. It’s a place where they learn something very valuable, how to make use of what you have around the house. It opens up their minds to be creative. Drop off artwork by 9:00 a.m. so that we can set up your work for showing. Judging at 1:00 p.m. Kids Zone volunteer, Dannette Strader, says, “I am amazed at the artwork the kids are doing at the Kids Zone. I allow them to make what they want. My grandson invited some of his friends over to work on their project for the art show. I allow them to go in my art shed and get whatever materials they needed (all are recycled and donated materials). One of his friends made a dog out of boxes and paper towel rolls and bottle caps, another did a garage for airplanes using boxes and bottle caps, another did a ballerina made out of anything she could use. My grandson is doing a spider made out of paper mache and paper towels..all I did was help them use the glue gun. It was interesting to see what they can come up with. They had me running back and forth with them to my art shed to see what else they could use.” Dannette thanks parents, friend and neighbors for all of your donations of recycled materials to the Kids Zone.
