This metal and granite relief plaque is a tribute to a famed local citizen Dr. David H. Bartine who died at the age of 59 on May 3, 1901. Dr. Bartine is bearded and dressed in a late 19th century coat and cravat enclosed by a garland of laurel and oak leaves. The relief plaque is affixed to the front of an upright two-sectioned base. The memorial sits at the point of Morrissey Park at the intersection of W. Maple & W. Park Avenues. The inscription reads DAVID.H.BARTINE.M.D./.1861 – 1901./A LOVING TRIBUTE BY HIS FELLOW TOWNSMEN/FOR SERVICES FAITHFULLY RENDERED.
