Most people have heard about what has happened to our neighbors in Pennsauken, the Moton family. Mrs. Moton and her son Charles, a student at Camden Catholic, are now left without their two sons/brothers, AJ and Stephen, and their father/husband also. Their house was badly burned by a fire, leaving them with close to nothing left. The “Donate to the Moton Family Fund” is collecting donations consisting of goods, money and any other necessities they need such as school supplies, clothes and other household items. Our main priority is to make this time of their lives as livable as possible. With the support of others, I know we can make this possible. We are asking the town of Merchantville to join this effort to provide help and support for this family. A Mass of Christian Burial for the brothers will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and Fatima, 4th and Division Streets, Camden. Both brothers sang in the church’s youth choir. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Charles M. Moton College Fund, c/o PNC Bank, 26 West Maple Ave., Merchantville 08109. All Donations may be given to Taylor Spencer at Camden Catholic High School or mailed/dropped off to her household at 226 East Cuthbert Blvd, Westmont, NJ 08108.
