Educators and cafe lovers Stefaine and Marc Miller took a leap of faith when they took over a vacant landmark eatery in Merchantville this year and reopened it over the weekend.
The Pennsauken couple signed a lease for the old Half Moon Cafe, gutted the interior and turned it into Olivia’s Corner Cafe. Half Moon Cafe shut its doors on Dec. 31, when its owner, who also ran a catering and personal chef business, closed the eatery. The cafe held a soft opening last weekend, closed Monday to Wednesday so the Millers could finish the school year, then reopened Thursday.
