If you feel like you’ve looked everywhere for a job and you’re not sure where to turn next, let Camden County help. A Camden County Job Fair hosted by the Board of Freeholders will be held on April 6, and judging by the success of the one held last October, it will be helpful for everyone whether you’re looking for a new job or a better one. The job fair, which is expected to attract approximately 100 employers and hundreds of prospective employees, will be held at the Collingswood Grand Ballroom from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
It is being held in cooperation with the Camden County One-Stop Resource Center, so along with a wide variety of employers, there will be representatives offering advice on resume writing and the job search. A new, unique addition to this job fair will be makeovers. The One-Stop and representatives from local salons will be providing proper dress consulting services as well as free makeup makeovers for attendees who would like help in those areas. “Many of our constituents are looking for work and can’t find it. Adding to that frustration is the fact that the job market can be difficult to navigate through,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli Jr. “The only way we’re going to get through this recession is together, so we’re holding this job fair as a chance for us to reach out and help bridge the gap between job seekers and employers.”
