Council meets to adopt budget

On Monday, May 9th, Borough Council will conduct public hearings and adopt the Capital Budget. They will also amend the Summer Parks and Playground registration fees to $135.00 for Borough residents and $160.00 for non-residents. New business includes Sgt. Thomas Whalen and Ptlm. Richard Grassia taking the oath of office, proclamation of National Police Week, the use of Wellwood Park for the 2011 Memorial Day Ceremony and a Parks and Recreation sponsored Art program. Resolutions include approval of Professional Property Appraisals to complete the revaluation, purchase of a new police vehicle, an interlocal services agreement with the BOE for snow removal on the parking and the mowing, edging and maintenance of the athletic fields and, the purchase and sale of the 174 Prospect Avenue property.
