On Saturday, December 18th, kids and grandkids of Merchantville residents enjoyed a family-friendly brunch buffet and visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Community Center. This annual festivity was sponsored by the Borough Public Events Committee and hosted by community volunteers Ted Brennan, Kate Brennan, Patty Fields, Steve Volkert, John Grasso, Denise Grasso, Wally Hussong and Dawn Schmidt.
In a room brightly decorated with holiday balloons Christmas trees and Nutcracker figurines and filled with holiday tunes more than 100 children and families were treated to juice, coffee and delicious pastries served by the hosts. After Santa and Mrs. Claus arrived and greeted the children everyone had an opportunity to have free pictures taken with Santa and printed courtesy of volunteers Kate Brennan and Wally Hussong. Santa’s elves helped in the fun handing out candy canes and painting seasonal tatoo designs on the pint-sized participants during brunch.
