BOE filing deadline today

March 8, 2011 at 4 p.m. is the deadline for candidates to file nominating petitions. The Annual School Election will take place on April 27, 2011. This information is accurate as of January 6, 2011. Proposed state legislation could change the school board member election, budget development and governance calendar. NJSBA will provide members with updated information on its website www.njsba.org if necessary. The New Jersey School Boards Association will sponsor regional candidate breifing programs for local school board candidates this spring. The programs address the structure and responsibilities of local school boards in New Jersey.
