As part of first lady Michelle Obama’s Recipes for Healthy Kids competition, the U.S. Department of Agriculture challenged teams of school professionals, chefs, students and community members to come up with new recipes that would fit into the school lunch program. The categories: whole grains; dry beans and peas; and dark green and orange vegetables.
