Winners will have access to the decks to view the fireworks. Food and beverages may be purchased separately and are not included in the prize. Two winning families will have their choice of two firework shows over the Delaware River on December 31 – one at 6:00 pm and one at Midnight. The Battleship will have her decks open for both the 6:00 pm and Midnight fireworks displays on New Year’s Eve. Guests can enjoy the best view of the fireworks show over the Delaware River for just a donation of $8 per person. We’ll also have music, prizes food and bar concessions. The ship will open at 4 pm for the 6pm show and 10pm for the midnight show. Tickets can be purchased daily from 9:30 am to 3 pm at the Battleship’s Ticket Office. The Battleship New Jersey Museum and Memorial is also offering a First Night Family Overnight Encampment. Guests will get to enjoy dinner and breakfast from the crew’s galley, a tour of the ship, a ride on the Flight Simulator, and the chance to sleep in the bunks that the crew of the USS New Jersey once did. At midnight, overnight guests will get a VIP view of the fireworks over the Delaware River. We’ll even include a non-alcohol toast. The price for this special overnight is $60.95 per person. Bring in the New Year with a bang – literally! The Battleship will allow guests to bid for the firing of the 5” gun at midnight on January 1. The highest bidder of this online auction will received tickets to attend the fireworks show and pull the trigger at midnight to start the fireworks show and welcome in 2011! Bidding has started at $175, and you can keep track of the leading bid at the homepage of the Battleship’s website – www.battleshipnewjersey.org. The Battleship is also offering a special Tour and Fireworks combo for 6 pm fireworks show on New Year’s. Guests can enjoy a self-guided tour of the ship, departing by 3 pm, and then take their place at the forecastle of the Battleship for the 6 pm fireworks. The price is $18 for adults and $15 for children under 12. A special Family Tour and Fireworks combo will offer families two free children tour and fireworks combo tickets with the purchase of two adult tour and fireworks combo tickets. Tour and Fireworks combo tickets are available at the Battleship’s Ticket Office up to 3 pm on Dec. 31.
