GOP candidate withrwars from race

Mark Brunton officially resigned as the Republican candidate for mayor on 9/10/10. Brunton stated that his decision was made because of unexpected job responsibilities that would limit the amount time and effort he could spend carrying out municipal responsibilities. Brunton, who works in the aerospace industry, is completing his first term as a councilman. Reports are that council candidate Steve Rogers, a cottage-training technician at a home for disabled adults will take Brunton’s place for mayor on the ballot and Pam Matukonis, an administrator of Employee and Student Health Services at the Stratford campus of UMDNJ, will assume Rogers’ council candidacy.
