Arrest in hit-and-run death

A Sicklerville man, Phillip Mastella, 27, has turned himself in to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office. He is accused of being behind the wheel of a car that hit and dragged Merchantville resident, Gary Forsythe, 32, on Linden and Maple Avenues about 12:30 a.m. on September 14, causing his death. Police said his license has been suspended since May 2009. He was charged with leaving the scene of an accident that led to bodily injury or death. An investigation into the incident continues.
