Six Programs this summer
Camden County Libraries Partner with SCORE to Help Small Businesses
Your Library, Your Lifeline program expands to help in hard economy.
VOORHEES, N.J. – May 19, 2009 — The Camden County Library System continues its initiative – Your Library, Your Lifeline – by enlisting SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives) to provide entrepreneur education and valuable information for small businesses this summer.
SCORE is a nonprofit association dedicated to the education of entrepreneurs and the formation, growth and success of small business all across the United States by providing free counseling services.
“We are pleased to offer these programs as part of the Your Library, Your Lifeline initiative. Our partnership with SCORE will help provide further alternatives to Camden County residents in these hard economic times,” said Camden County Library System Director Linda Devlin.
The following programs will be offered in June and July at the following branches of the Camden County Library System.
Starting Your Own Business programs:
* Monday, June 8 at Bellmawr Branch
* Monday, June 22 at Gloucester Township Branch
* Thursday, July 9 at Vogelson Branch
Marketing Your Small Business programs:
* Thursday, June 18 at Haddon Township Branch
* Monday, June 29 at South County Branch
* Thursday, July 23 at Vogelson Branch

For over 35 years, SCORE’s more than 10,000 retired and working business professionals have volunteered to help a new generation of small business owners start and grow their companies. It works in cooperation with the U.S. Small Business Association (SBA), to provide business owners with valuable information including counsel on financial operations, business planning, marketing strategies, product development, hiring practices, franchising and more.
Established in 1921, Camden County Library System seeks to meet the recreational, informational and educational needs of its customers with locations in Bellmawr, Gloucester Township, Haddon Township, Merchantville, Winslow Township and Voorhees. The Library is governed and supported by the Camden County Board of Freeholders and the Camden County Library Commission.
