Furloughs planned for 2010

The Camden County Freeholder Board, as part of its ongoing effort to increase cost savings in preparing this year’s budget and anticipating a tougher year in 2011, is furloughing 750 employees without pay for 4 days in 2010. “In each of the past three years, we have cut the amount of money taxpayers pay for county government. Since 2004, we have
downsized the workforce by over 600 employees without impacting services to residents.”
