Camden Catholic High School’s “Irish Summer” program of athletic camps and theater and enrichment programs for area elementary and high school students kicks off with the first session of Boys Basketball Camp beginning June 21. This year’s Summer Theater Program takes place July 12 through 29.
It is aimed at two age groups: grades 3-8 and grades 9-12. The program runs from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Students learn skills such as character interpretation, vocal production, and stage presence, and work on choreography, costuming, and make-up. The program ends with a student performance. Cost is $300 per student.
The Summer Enrichment Programs for students entering grades 5-9, begin on July 13 and end July 30, with two morning sessions at 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Topics include study skills, math skills, English grammar and composition, Spanish, journalism, art techniques, environmental science, and forensic science. Cost is $200 for one session; $350 for two sessions.
