Today the law will change so that current signs which say YIELD to pedestrians in a crosswalk must say STOP for a pedestrians in a crosswalk. Chapter 319, 2009 A-1329 revises laws concerning pedestrian safety and traffic control and requires drivers to stop and remain stopped for pedestrians under certain conditions. It was passed on 1/18/2009 and becomes law on 4/1/2010.
On May 1, 2010 changes to the Graduated Driver License (GDL) law are addressed. In addition, Parent/Teen Orientation is discussed as an important way for families who have teens approaching driving age to get the most up to date information about the GDL Law, driver education and training, insurance requirements and current resources that are available to both teens and parents.
