140th Birthday Celebration

The annual Merchantville Birthday Celebration is fast approaching. Many of the preparations have been handled already however, we are in need of volunteers to help staff the event.  The Birthday will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2014 on the grounds of Wellwood Park from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.Wellwood Park is located between West Maple, Hamilton and Linden Avenues. This is a rain or shine event. There will be traditional picnic, games, races including potato-sack, three legged and egg/spoon; a pie eating contest, a bounce house, balloon clowns and a dunk tank to name few. Refreshments by Cabana Water Ice. Music and entertainment will please the crowd throughout the day. 

The Public Events Committee welcomes additional volunteers to help on the day of this event beginning around 9:30 AM to coordinate vendors, setup etc.  We appreciate any time you can give us at any point in the day if you can’t stay the whole time.
