The Merchantville Shade Tree Commission received a grant from the NJ Forestry Program to undertake a tree inventory for the town and, as a result, some of our trees were determined to be dead, dying or diseased. To avoid hazards we will begin removing trees from the priority 1 list. The trees on this list have been marked with a pink ribbon, trees on the following street locations – 5 Clifton, 13 Clifton, 13 West Chestnut, 19 West Chestnut, 117 Leslie (2), the Multi-Use Path across from 13 West Chestnut, 40 Volan, 70 Volan, 104 Volan, 220 Volan & Lexington, 300 Volan and 126 St. James – have been contracted for removal within the next two weeks.
