Eiland Arts Summer Program

For this year’s Summer program, we will be “exploring” a new country each week. Each day of the week we will try our hand at a different type of art including; painting and drawing, music, cooking, 3-D, and science. Here are some of the weeks we are most excited for: June 25 – June 29: Japan – Roll your own sushi and learn about traditional and modern Japanese dance. Study the traditions of printmaking and draw like a Manga artist. Learn to write your name in Hiragana. July 23 – July 27: Morocco – Morocco is filled with colors! We will learn all about the different pigments traditionally used and mix our own. Dye fabric and create patterns filled with vibrant color. Be inspired by the Moroccan rhythm and explore modern musicians from Morocco. Be charmed by the wonderful fairytales. August 20 – August 24: India This country stimulates all the senses! Learn to create delicious authentic Indian meals. Study modern Indian music and create your very own mandala.
