The Wind Symphony of Southern NJ will present a free holiday concert on Saturday, December 12, at 3:30 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 10 W. Maple Ave, in Merchantville. The 42-member wind symphony will perform Sacred Harp by Jay Boccok, an American Hymnsong Suite, and Aaron Copland’s Fanfare for the Common Man in addition to traditional holiday selections.
A free will offering will be collected at the concert, and a reception will follow the concert in the church hall. The Wind Symphony is under the direction of Dr. Robert Streckfuss, Professor Emeritus at the University of Delaware.
