Revaluation ordered for Cherry Hill

The Camden County Board of Taxation has ordered the Township to complete a revaluation of all property in Cherry Hill. The Township has contracted with Professional Property Appraisers Inc. to update all assessments in town to their fair market value. This operation will begin the week of May 16 and continue over the course of the next two years officially going on the books in 2013. The last property revaluation was conducted 18 years ago, in 1993.

This revaluation will help ensure a fair and equitable redistribution of the Township’s tax levy so all property owners are shouldering their fair share of our tax burden. This process is revenue-neutral for the Township and is not designed to generate any additional funds for the taxing entity.
