The National Weather Service is expecting tropical storm conditions in our area Saturday, with hurricane conditions possible. There could be periods of heavy rain and possibly a thunderstorm with lows around 67 degrees. Winds will be out of the East from 35 to 40 miles per hour, increasing to between 45 and 55 miles per hour as the evening progresses. Winds could gust as high as 65 miles per hour. Chance of precipitation is 100% with rainfall amounts between 5 and 10 inches possible.
Sunday will bring tropical storm conditions with periods of rain and possibly a thunderstorm, mainly before 5:00 PM, then scattered rain and thunderstorms in the following hours. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall, with highs near 79 degrees. Chance of precipitation is 100%, with rainfall amounts in excess of 4 inches possible.
