Good news for the Community Center

Camden County has just announced that the Borough of Merchantville received an Open Space Grant in the amount of $25,000. This money will be used for exterior work to the park and the playground areas at the Community Center. The Borough also recently received confirmation of the HUD grant that was applied for in the amount of $166,250 for renovations to the exterior of the building.  This will include repairs to the slate roof, chimney, stucco and gutter replacement.  Along with those funds, CDBG funding has also been allocated for the Community Center ladies restroom in the senior luncheon area.  Each of the projects are scheduled to begin this year.
