Robert G. Watson, age 87, of Merchantville, NJ, died June 3, 2011 at Rockland Place, Wilmington, DE. He was born January 21, 1924 in Cranbury, NJ and lived most of his life in Merchantville, N.J. He served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945 where he received 3 Bronze Stars and 1 Bronze Medal.
After his discharge he was employed by the Borough of Merchantville as a Police Officer and retired in 1971. He was a member of the FOP Lodge #3 and VFW. He is survived by his 2 sons and their wives, Gary & Gerri, Glen & Cynthia, 6 grandchildren, Todd, Brian, Abbie, Sallie, Rebecca, Zachary, 6 great grandchildren, Emma, Andrew, Margret, Julie, Luke, Mollie.
Service will be held Saturday, June 11 at Stephenson – Brown Funeral Home, Merchantville, NJ. Family and Friends can call from 10 AM to 11 AM, service will follow at 11 AM.
